You can apply at the hillingdon.gov.uk website – they have no idea who lives anywhere and you can apply for as many cards under _any_ name you want. They are not allowed to use the electoral roll, so feel happy to order a few for your friends from outside the borough to use.

Swiped card and paid £1 discounted rate for 2 hours parking- machine failed to accept coin which was put back into machine which then issued ticket for 1 hr – this is not any option discounted or not on the machine- stupidly I did not check and was booked for parking at 1.5 hrs.

Will never use discounted rate again or bloody card as this will cost me £60 as I am sure I will not win appeal.

Definately residents last in Hillingdon!

Actually this information has been known for quite a while thanks to an FOI request and has been here from the first day this website was put up. Unfortunately, just knowing how something works doesn’t make the scheme any less intrusive or wrong and certainly doesn’t overcome the concerns that are being raised, if anything it shows how little information is being given to residents that it takes an FOI request just to get basic information. Questions about the poor consultation, the privacy issues (including the 6 years history) and future uses are still here and still being asked.

It occurs to me that if our Exalted Leader, Raymondo El Moustachio Puddifoot, is frankly not concerned about the reactions of those outside the borough to this HF Card, and is not worried about the possible loss of income to communities on the fringes of the borough, and thinks it fair that Hillingdon Residents should come First in ALL things, perhaps he should refuse to pay the precept for the Olympics. After all they are outside the borough boundaries, so why should they benefit from our money.
There are senior council Executives, Directors who live outside the borough, let us hope they do not get the card, and they lose their free parking space in the civic centre, so forced to pay the full cost as any any other out-borough worker is.
